Letterkenny Claim Top Spot in Aura Swim Competition

Aura Letterkenny came first in Aura Leisure’s annual Swim Competition which took place in Aura Navan on Friday August 25th.

The competition sees all 10 Aura Leisure centres send swim-based staff to battle it out for the coveted top spot.

Each team competes across a series of 10 races, with some individually focused, and others team orientated.

All the races are timed, with points being awarded to the teams depending on their finish in each race.

On the day there were several lead changes, however, it was Aura Letterkenny who reigned victorious come the conclusion of the events. While hosts Aura Navan picked up second-place, and defending champions Aura Drogheda had to settle for third this time around.

The event is always fun-filled and allows all our centres from across Ireland to come together and interact. This enables them to share ideas, discuss one another’s centres, and experience different ways of doing things, while potentially picking up some new skills and knowledge.

Again, all of these events are to encourage our staff to build relationships within the workplace and to foster a culture of learning and development within the company.

Congratulations to Aura Letterkenny on their win, and to all the centres on their incredible performances throughout the day.

We look forward to doing it all again next year, and seeing who will take home the trophy for 2024.
