RLSS Lifeguard Training
Course Aim: The aim of this Lifeguard course is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognise and respond to aquatic emergencies. This course also provides the knowledge and skills for breathing and cardiac emergencies.
Course Duration: 6 Days
Certification: On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a qualification through the Royal Lifesaving Society, governed by the Institute of Qualified Lifeguards. This qualification is an internationally recognised qualification.
Certificate Valid for 2 years.
Course Cost: €525
Manual Handling
Course Aim: The aim of this Manual Handling course is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to carry out manual handling tasks safely.
Course Duration: ½ Day
Certification: On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a Manual Handling certificate from a QQI National Trainer.
Certificate Valid for 3 years.

This qualification is also recognised through the Register of Aquatic Professionals.
Certificate Valid for 5 years.

Pool Water Treatment
Course Aim: The aim of this water treatment course is to provide learners with the basic knowledge and skills for understanding and managing a swimming pool water system.
Course Duration: 1 Day
Certification: On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a qualification through the Swim Teachers Association. This qualification is an internationally recognised qualification.
This qualification is also recognised through the Register of Aquatic Professionals.
Certificate Valid for 5 years.
Course Cost: €250
Swim Teaching
Course Aim: The aim of this Swim Teachers course is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills for delivering and coaching swim lessons to both Adults and Children.
Course Duration: 6 Days
Certification: On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a qualification through the Swim Teachers Association. This qualification is an internationally recognised qualification.
This qualification is also recognised through the Register of Aquatic Professionals.
Certificate – No Expiration Date.

FAR (First Aid Responder)
Course Aim: The aim of this First Aid Responder course is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to be a First Aid Responder.
Course Duration: 3 Days
Certification: On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a PHECC First Aid Responder certificate.
Certificate Valid for 2 years.

Fire Training
Course Aim: The aim of this Fire Training course is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to react in a Fire Emergency.
Course Duration: ½ Day
Certification: On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a Qualtec recognised certificate.
Certificate Valid for 2 years.

NPSQ – National Pool Supervisor Qualification
Course Aim: The aim of the NPSQ course is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to manage essential health and safety within a leisure centre or swimming pool environment.
Course Duration: 2 Days
Certification: On successful completion of the course candidates will receive an NPSQ certificate
Certificate Valid for 2 years.

Training Support Grant
If you are interested in any of our courses but are wondering about funding, why not see if you are eligible for the Intreo training grant! Intreo provide quick access to funding by giving up to €500 for people to participate in short term training. There is also an opportunity for you to renew qualifications that may have lapsed. The aim of this grant is to get people back into employment in a shorter and more effective time frame. You can apply for the Intreo training grant through your case officer in your local Intreo centre, or you can click the link below to learn more about it.

I found the course of great benefit as an Operations Manager of a busy Leisure Centre. The course covers a broad range of subjects from practical water testing to Management practises. The extensive breadth of subject topics, initially seems daunting, but is delivered in an easy bitesize format that allows you to fully understand each section.
