Aura is an Irish owned company with over 16 years’ experience operating local authority leisure centres throughout Ireland.
Aura has a proven track record in working to support the delivery of public leisure facilities nationwide. In addition to our on-site teams at our leisure centres, we have a robust central support team that allows our on-site personnel focus on delivering unrivalled levels of member service in the centres we currently operate.
We have established a core approach to customer service, health & safety, maintenance and asset protection, energy management and financial management. These approaches are applied at all of our leisure centres and are based on extensive experience in managing high quality leisure centre operations.
Aura currently operates nine leisure centres and one public pool throughout Ireland, with their support office based in Dublin.

In 2016 Aura Letterkenny, Aura Drogheda and Aura Dundalk received the 2017 gold standard White Flag Award in conjunction with Ireland Active and a 'NISO' Health and Safety Award

All of our leisure centres have secured 'Hygiene Mark (Grade A) awards within 12 months of opening
The Aura Group has been approved by 'Excellence Ireland Quality Association' for the committed to excellence (EIQA & EFQM) European Recognition Scheme.
The Aura Group are members of NISO (National Irish Safety Organisation) and have won the highest award in our category 'Distinction' every year for the past 3 years since joining.
Aura Sport and Leisure Management were presented with a recognition award by the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO).
All Aura leisure centres are Approved Training Centres with IQLUK. IQL UK is the trading subsidiary of The Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK), the drowning prevention charity.
Aura holds International Membership of Swim Australia – which promotes aquatic safety standards considered to be amongst the best in the world.
We also have centre by centre membership with EIQA and of Ireland Active and put 3-4 centres through each audit / award process each year.
In 2016, Aura Carrick-On-Shannon received a distinction in NICO/NISG All Ireland Occupational Safety Awards.
In 2016, Aura Carrick-On-Shannon received a Level 2 EIQA Award. EIQA is Excellence Ireland Quality Association (EIQA).
In 2015 & 2016 Aura Drogheda won the 2015 – 2016 and 2016 – 2017 Environmental Awareness Awards at the Drogheda Business Excellence Awards run by the Drogheda Chambers of Commerce. At the same awards Drogheda was awarded the 2016 – 2017 Certificate of Excellence for Best Customer Service.
Aura has focused heavily on developing robust and meaningful accessible policies and practices over the years. Having being named 'Overall Winner' in the private sector of the ‘O2 Ability Awards 2007 and being honourably selected to form a part of the judging panel for the O2 Ability Awards, Aura previously supported Kanchi and continues to sponsor and support BINC (a movement for global inclusion in business: http://www.binc.global/)
