Aura Drogheda organised an incredible night to celebrate the reopening of their gym floor on Tuesday August 22nd.
The event was held for all members and staff in order to mark the reopening of the centre’s new gym floor, which has seen the Drogheda gym area redesigned, and state of the art equipment put in.
Aura Drogheda’s members have been enjoying the new set-up since the official reopening day of August 4th, but the event allowed people from around the area and the rest of the Aura family to experience the amazing transformation.
On the night there was free food and drinks for all in attendance, while DJ Brian Fitzpatrick kept the atmosphere upbeat in the gym area, while some members joined fitness instructors Bernard and Adam in the studios for taster kettlebell and spin classes respectively.
Once settled in Operations Manager of Aura Drogheda Monica McGuirk kicked off the speeches, before handing over the microphone to Louth County Council member Finbar Gethins. Following this Aura Leisure CEO Gar Holohan paid tribute to the immense work that all our staff and customers have put into the centre throughout the years.
The staff then presented their longest serving member, Maeve Mullins, who has been at the centre since 2007, with a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of bubbly. Before Monica McGuirk wrapped up the speeches by thanking all the members of the centre once again, and her brilliant staff, that have put a huge amount of time and effort into making the revamp possible.
After the speeches, staff of both the centre and the Aura support office took part in the ribbon cutting, to officially relaunch the new gym floor.
Overall, a great night was had by all in attendance, and we look forward to welcoming current and future members into our new gym set-up, as we at Aura continue our mission of creating a healthier, happier Ireland.
