Aura Leisure is delighted to confirm that we will be running challenges to help support A Lust For Life and their “The Rising” campaign.
A Lust For Life is a non-profit organisation spearheaded by Irish public figure Bressie. The organisation is hosting a challenge named “The Rising” from Friday June 30th to Thursday July 6th, during which Bressie and others will kayak the distance of the Shannon, starting in Dowra and finishing in Limerick, a whopping 330 kilometres later.
We are proud to support them by creating our own challenges across our centres throughout the seven days in order to raise as much money as possible for this great cause and help support young people up and down the country with their mental health.
Each of our centres will be asking members to record their distance ran, swam, rowed, or cycled throughout the week, with the aim being to reach or better the 330km goal of A Lust For Life in The Rising.
The overall aim of A Lust For Life is to help children across Ireland with their mental health and wellbeing, while setting them up for life’s challenges. They do this through their school programmes which provide children with the necessary tools and skills to allow them to reach their full potential going forward in life.
To date they have delivered their programmes to over 2500 classrooms, and over 50,000 students. However, the ultimate objective is to provide this programme to every child in the nation free of charge and that is what supporting this campaign will help deliver.
We want to wish Bressie and all of the A Lust For Life team the best of luck in the coming days, and we’ll ensure we do our best to support them in creating a Healthier Happier Ireland.
