Aura Letterkenny Hosts ‘Together for Creeslough’ Concert

Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny hosted the ‘Together for Creeslough’ concert on Monday night, https://www.auraleisure.ie/gym/January 30th.

The event was in honour of the 10 members of the community that tragically lost their lives during an explosion at the Applegreen service station on October 7th 2022, as well as all those that helped during the disaster, especially the first responders.

Among the performers on the night were Boyzlife singers Brian McFadden, whose father is from the area, and Keith Duffy, along with other Irish stars such as Mickey Joe Harte, Brian Kennedy, Lisa McHugh, Moya Brennan, and Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh.

As well as paying respect to all those affected by the devastating events, the night was also used to provide a symbol of hope and togetherness for the community as they heal from the tragedy.

The sold-out event of over 1400 people concluded with a beautiful rendition of ‘The Town I Love So Well’ by a choir made up of children from the local schools of Scoil Mhuire and Faugher National School, accompanied by pianist Claire Bowes, who lost her vision during the 1998 Omagh bombing.

Aura Leisure would like to thank the community for allowing us to be a part of this incredible event and we would like to extend our continued support for all those affected by the events that unfolded last year.
