Aura Leisure centre gyms provide modern training facilities with top of the range cardio, resistance and functional training equipment.

Yes, we have a diverse membership base and all of our gyms are wheelchair friendly and designed to be fully accessible.
Simply contact us and we can discuss how we can accommodate you. Please inform us of the nature of your disability so we can guide and support you to achieve your fitness goals.
All members must carry and use a hand towel when training to wipe down the equipment and mats after use. Surface cleaner and tissue is also provided. We also recommend that members carry water to remain hydrated when exercising.
Yes, this can be provided to new members at induction.

Do I have to wear a swim hat in the pool?
Yes, to ensure the best possible hygiene in our pools we require all users to wear a swim hat which is available to purchase at reception.
Yes, we have individual lockers in all the changing rooms. Some centres have coin operated lockers.
Yes, all of our pools operate with a lifeguard on duty.
No, inflatables are not permitted.
Yes, we offer swimming lessons for all ages and abilities from baby right up to adult. Click here for more details.
The Aura Swim Academy caters for children from 3.5 years and consists of 10 different levels suited to all levels of ability.
The Aura Junior Swim Academy is for babies and toddlers up to approximately 3.5 years. It allows babies to build their confidence in the water and allows for a smooth transition into the Aura Swim Academy.
A one-piece swimsuit is recommended for girls and shorts for boys. Flip flops or pool shoes are recommended for wear on the wet surfaces. Goggles need to be the right fit and be worn correctly in order to work effectively. Silicone hats are recommended for all children with long hair.
Each of our centres has a retail zone with a full range of swim wear and accessories available to purchase.
There are various adult lessons available, for adults of all levels and ability. We help build water confidence and learn basic swimming techniques with 45 minute lessons over an 8 week course. Our adult classes are structured into Non-Swimmer, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels.
This Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) registered course is designed for children to gain special lifesaving skills. Rookie Lifeguard is aimed at competent swimmers aged 8-12 years who have an interest in lifeguarding and lifesaving. As a Rookie you will learn special lifesaving skills to help yourself, or know what to do if others get into difficulty in the water. The award allows participants to learn lifelong water safety skills in a fun way.
Coaching is available for those who really enjoy swimming and are looking to take it to a competitive level. This session is a vigorous workout focused on building stamina and endurance. All elements of competitive swimming are covered within this program.

Membership FAQs
What membership options are available?
We have monthly direct debit and annual membership options available. Some of our centres also offer memberships for couples, students and seniors.
You can pay monthly by direct debit or pay annually.
The first time you login into the new portal you will need to create a new password as any previous passwords you had will no longer work. To get set up on our new membership portal, follow the 5 simple steps below:
STEP 1
Go to the Member Portal by clicking HERE
STEP 2
Click on the “Forgot Password?” text
STEP 3
Enter your email address and click “Submit”
STEP 4
You will then receive an email with further details on how to reset your password. (Remember to check, spam and junk folders)
STEP 5
After completing step 4 you’re all set to access the member portal with your new password.
If after following the 5 steps above you’re unable to access the new member portal, please contact a member of our team for assistance.
When you join as a member you will be invited to book in for a consultation where your trainer will go through your goals and expectations. Your trainer will then develop a personalised fitness programme for you to follow when you visit the gym. You will be shown how to use the gym equipment and how to perform the exercises in your bespoke programme. You will also be given a progress check and nutritional advise. the Fit for Life and Lean3 fitness programmes are available free of charge to members.
Yes, fitness classes are free to members. Some classes have limited capacity and require booking in advance.
Yes, we welcome beginners as we cater for all fitness ability and needs. You work to your own ability in the class.
No, your membership is specific to the one that you join.
Our group exercise timetables are all available online on the individual Aura Leisure centre pages.
Can I cancel or freeze my membership?
Once you have passed your initial 6-month contract term, you are free to cancel, giving one calendar month’s notice (applies to Direct Debit memberships only). Cancellations must be made, in writing, before the 7th of the month in order to cancel for the following month, so long as the minimum membership period has been completed.
You can freeze direct debit memberships in the following circumstances only: medical reasons or work relocation. A membership can only be frozen once during a 12 month period. A charge of €10 per month applies to frozen memberships. This charge must be paid fully upfront.
There are lots of ways to join. You can join online, drop in to the centre, phone us or email the centre.

Yes. You will receive a membership card on your first visit. You must swipe your membership card at the turnstile to gain entry on every visit.
