What is it? A muscle pain experienced usually 12-24 hours after a workout,
What cases it? Tiny microscopic tears in your muscle fibers when lifting weights, or high intensity exercises. Also experienced by people new to the gym or after coming back from being off for a while.
How to help it: keep moving light walking and swimming can help but try not to lay on the couch for a few day’s and that will only make you stiff and worsen the soreness. Light stretching can also help.
Consistency will be your greatest ally here the more the body gets used to the exercise the less DOMs will effect you. When your new to exercise it can be tempting to stop but follow a good programme with proper resting and stretches will help and you will become stronger💪
