Aura Holohan Group were delighted to once again host our annual Digital Champion Workshop at Aura Lucan Leisure Campus on Thursday May 14th.
The Digital Champion Workshop is designed to allow all our centres across the Aura Holohan Group (Aura Leisure, DKIT Sport, and Anytime Fitness Ireland) see the importance of digital content as well as how to produce quality content at a local level.
Each of our centres has a Digital Champion, who have the responsibility of looking after their local centre’s content output, which is why we want to provide them with all the tools possible to succeed in their role.
This year the focus was on creating quality content and the best practices on how to go about this.
The day was action-packed with practical sessions along with presentations, including a talk from IRFU videographer, Robert Maguire, who provided great insights on different methods of generating content as well as it’s importance for every business in the current digital landscape.
There was also a fireside chat with a couple of our Digital Champions, Rachel Hannon from Aura Grove Island and Chantelle Dwyer from Aura Tullamore, who talked through their process of gathering content, along with how they overcome difficulties on a local level.
Our group marketing team also provided talks about how local content impacts the company’s social media platforms along with tips and tricks on getting content practically.
Meanwhile each person in attendance got a little digital marketing present as a memento from the day.
This was also the first time ever that we hosted the National Digital Champion Awards, which recognised centres for their efforts throughout the year of 2025.
There was fierce competition for every award, especially our People’s Choice Award, which was voted for by staff, and you can see a full list of the award-winners below:

Overall, it was a brilliant day, with members of staff attending from all over the country, sharing their ideas with one another, and showing lots of enthusiasm for creating content in the future.
