Aura Achieves the Double in Category One at All-Ireland Safety Awards

The Aura Holohan Group is delighted to announce that we picked up two category one awards at the National Irish Safety Awards on Friday October 13th in The Great Southern Hotel, Killarney.

The National Irish Safety Organisation presented the Aura Holohan Group with the Exceptional High Achiever Award, which is only given to 17 companies across the country, and the Distinction Level Award.

It is the tenth year in a row that the Aura Holohan Group has received the Distinction Level Award, and the first time the organisation has won the Exceptional High Achiever Award.

Speaking after winning the awards the Group’s Health and Safety Manager, Gerard Morgan said “Safety, Health and Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do, we have an open and positive safety culture based on mutual trust and employee engagement across the organisation. These awards recognise our commitment to our safety culture”.

Gerard Morgan has been a driving force behind the continued success of the Aura Holohan Group in the health and safety sector, with the organisation claiming numerous awards in Disability Inclusion, Health and Safety, Quality Systems, and Environmental Management in recent times.

The awards are a recognition of the hard work and diligence that all of the teams in our leisure centres and clubs put into maintaining the best practices of health and safety across Ireland’s largest leisure provider, which operates 10 Aura Leisure centres, five Anytime Fitness facilities, and DKIT Sport.

Chairman of the group, Gar Holohan, is proud of the continuous effort the teams around the country put into health and safety commenting “We have no higher priority than the safety of our customers and staff. We are delighted that our ongoing investment and commitment in safety training has been recognised again with this prestigious award”.

The Aura Holohan Group is committed to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety across its entire operation, as it strives in its mission to create a healthier, happier Ireland.
